Vladyslav A. Shlyakhov is a member of numerous professional societies and organizations: Expert of the Russian and Ukrainian Mutual Commission for problems of fisheries in the Azov Sea (1993 – present). Expert of THE ADVISORY GROUP ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS OF FISHERIES AND OTHER LIVING MARINE RESOURCES (FOMLR, Black Sea Commission, 2003-present) and the Working Group on Black Sea fisheries of the Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries, Joint Research Centre of European Commission (STCEF WG on Black Sea fisheries, 2008).
